Supporting men in their fight for freedom from addiction requires a team that is committed to encouraging, mentoring, providing accountability, and sharing hope and experience. We are looking for men and in some cases women as well, who want to lead or participate on small teams that focus on one of the 5 areas critical to becoming a devoted follower of Christ, a real man and a productive member of our community. Team members will not have it all together, but they will be transparent, genuine, teachable and with a heart to be there for others. Spiritual Growth Team: This team is lead by Pastor Mitchell Ellison and focuses on the spiritual needs and growth of the men in the sober houses. We consider this to be the foundation for growth in all the other areas. Responsibilites of this team include one on one biblical counseling, leading small groups, discipleship, encouraging men to attend meetings that will build them up spiritually. Modeling and mentoring spiritual disciplines including regular individual Bible study, prayer, memorization, individual and corporate worship are central to this area.

Life Relationships Team

This team focuses on rebuilding relationships that have been destroyed through drug and alcohol abuse. Applying biblical principals of repentance, confession, restoring trust, and a servant's spirit to rebuild broken relationships with the family members and friends is critical. The objective is measurable growth as a father, a husband, a friend, a worker and a member of the community. The responsibilities of this team involve teaching skills like conflict resolution, modeling and mentoring and accountability. Measurable objectives need to be established for each men and accountabilities need to be maintained by this team.

Fiscal Stability

This is a critical area for growth and accountability. Money and drugs never coexist so oversight, monitoring, teaching and mentoring are essential for overall success. We are looking for a team lead who understands financial principles and practices them in their own life. This individual will build a team that will provide practical classes, provide one on one instruction in establishing budgets, managing a checking account, evaluation purchasing strategies. During the early program phases members of this team will actually manage a resident's finances.

Recovery

Recovery from drug and alcohol use is of course, an early and critical, though not at all sufficient component in the growth to a productive and fulfilling life. This team will support the individual's growth in their recovery. This area will leverage heavily the 12 point programs already meeting at the CHM facility and other locations. The team will also recommend and enforce the drug testing and drug use violation policies in place at the sober houses.

Employment

Finding a job at the appropriate point in recovery, that is suited to the skills, abilities and interests of the residents able to work, is critical. Equiping a man to prepare for and find a job is an essential element to growth and productivty. We are looking for a team lead and team members who have a diversity of skills and connections that will be helpful in this process. This team will help men assess their strenghts, help in suggesting suitable employment, help with resumes and preparation for job interviews. This team will be aware of resources in the area that can help in preparing and searching for employment and can offer practical classes as well.
