God is at work at CHM, thanks to the many who invest in this ministry.
We'll update you with What's New on this page.
THROUGH THE ROOF!
God showered the building with gifts on Sunday, December 9, 2013. Gifts of smiling faces, gifts of a great Christmas meal, gifts that answered many children's requests, the melodies of familiar Christmas carols, and a spirited sermon by Pastor Ellison on the Greatest Gift Exchange of all -- our sins exchanged for Jesus' righteousness! Many thanks to the volunteers from Christian Fellowship Church for all their efforts to make this a blessed event! The slide show below shows some of the scenes from the evening.
The volunteers who came out for the usual Thursday lunch worked hard to make it anything but "usual". The Thanksgiving-themed tables were a result of the efforts of artistic groups and eager volunteers. We were blessed with the presence of families and individuals who came by to enjoy the fellowship and to dine on a sumptuous, traditional Thanksgiving meal.
MORE SEATING CAPACITY ADDED
Recently at 1910 Cleveland, we upgraded the projection capability to two screens in order to benefit our Sunday services. This upgrade was made possible through the efforts of Shawne Bolon and Eric Harper. With this improvement, the praise team was able to move to the raised stage area. Also Mitchell now delivers his sermons from this spacing. This upgrade has opened up more seating space for the attendees of the worship service.
PRAY FOR ME (US)!
The newer Tuesday lunch continues to thrive, along with the Thursday lunch program.
God has been so faithful, for He always provides the volunteers and the food that we need. Up to 700 people have been fed in a single month.
Lonnie's familiar refrain during the lunch preparation is "Pray for me!"
The volunteers do gather to pray and thank God for His wonderful blessings and provision before serving lunch on those days....
and we often remember to pray for
